The Thomas Joseph Stanton II Trust Committee would like to say a HUGE thank you to all who participated, volunteered and watched the Team Up for Team JOSEPH Powder Puff Tournament held on Saturday, December 11, 2010. The Committee was, and still is, overwhelmed by the turnout in support of Joseph and his family. Most of us could not sleep the night before because we wondered if people would come….well I believe there was a line from a movie, “build it and they will come!” Well, we built it and boy did you all come! We had over 250 competitors sign up to compete, which included students, coaches, and moms, and we had over 650 people come to watch the fun, eat the food, drink the “JoJo Extreme” and buy prize tickets, merchandise and just enjoy the fantastic weather God shone down on us.
Without the support of the Kingwood and surrounding area communities we would have struggled to contemplate doing the tournament again, but with the turn out, the screams of laughter, and the unending positive feedback from all, we are already being persuaded that this could end up being an annual event! Who would have thought it!?
Again, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, your support, and your prayers….all of the Committee members are, and continue to be….overwhelmed!
